Presentation
Morrow is a Norwegian battery cell manufacturer aiming to develop and produce the world’s most cost-effective and sustainable battery cells for use in both energy storage and mobility applications. The development takes place in Southern Norway, leveraging widely access to low-cost, renewable energy. The company was founded in 2020 and is backed by strong owners such as Agder Energy and Gjelsten Holding. To accelerate the development and qualify its products for key markets, the company is now in the process of building an industrialisation centre. To fund this, NOK ~230m was recently raised in equity through a private placement. Longer term, the company aims to be one of the leading cell manufacturers in Europe. Initial plans include a 42 GWh gigafactory which is expected to be operational from Q4’24.
