Norsk Hydro is a leading industrial company with core focus on low-carbon aluminium and renewable energy. The company covers the entire aluminium value chain from energy and raw material to smelting and extrusion, as well as recycling. Recently, expanding the footprint to renewable energy, battery, and hydrogen. Thus, Norsk Hydro has entered a transformation phase - utilizing extensive knowledge and competence to develop a sustainable and circular business. Its history dates from 1905 and the company has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since 1909 with the Norwegian state as majority shareholder (~34%).

Hydro managed an extraordinary 2020 prudently, emerging stronger and bettered positioned to deliver on its key priorities to become profitable and more sustainable. This along with a stellar recovery in aluminium demand and supply disruptions, global markets are heading for a minor deficit in 2021. For an industry that is carrying 15mt of stocks, a year of supply-demand balance or a small deficit is encouraging. With metal availability tight, aluminium prices and premia is close to 10-years high.
