Solstad Offshore is a global OSV company, resulting from the merger between Solstad Offshore, Farstad Shipping and Deep Sea Supply in June 2017. The merger created the world’s fourth largest offshore supply vessel (OSV) company, and the largest North Sea operator. The company is headquartered in Skudeneshavn, Norway and employs more than 3,400 people worldwide. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Solstad’s core fleet consists of 93 vessels distributed across four main segments: Renewable, Subsea, AHTS and PSV. As of Q2 2021, the company had 80 active vessels, with an average active utilisation of 88%. It has also sold twelve of 37 vessels classified as “non-strategic”. Solstad is looking to prepare their fleet for the future by upgrading vessels to sufficient environmental standards and sell off the oldest vessels, adjusting the fleet to about 80-90 vessels in total.
