Questerre is a Canadian E&P company focusing on high impact unconventional oil and gas resources, mainly in Canada and the US. The company currently produces ~2,000 boepd net. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Questerre is listed on both the Oslo and Toronto stock exchanges. The company had a total of 33 mill bbl of 2P reserves at year-end 2020.

Questerre holds assets in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec in Canada, as well as undeveloped oil shale assets in Jordan, where a significant shale deposit is under assessment for development. The majority of the company’s production comes from the liquids-rich Montney shale play, with ~1,480 bbl/day produced in Q2’21 (~300 bbl/day from Saskatchewan and Manitoba and ~1,180 bbl/day from Alberta). Questerre also holds a 100% WI in the 23.8 Tcf of Utica shale gas discovery in Quebec.

Questerre believes it is possible to make hydrocarbons a sustainable resource. With Questerre’s Clean Tech Energy project, the company aims to develop one of the first “circular economy” hydrocarbon projects in the world, with near- zero emission production and consumption of natural gas. The company is evaluating technology to store, recycle and reuse hydrocarbons, converting fossil fuels to a renewable energy source.
