Tidewater is the world’s largest offshore service vessel company. The Louisiana-based company pioneered the OSV industry with its order of the first ever purpose-built offshore vessel in 1956 and has remained a market leader since. Tidewater’s diverse fleet of units provides services in support in all phases of offshore exploration, field development and production around world. The fleet includes PSVs, AHTS’, subsea vessels, speciality vessels, tugs and crew boats. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

In 2018, Tidewater merged with Gulfmark, adding 66 vessels to the fleet and thereby creating the largest OSV fleet globally. Tidewater has a global presence and is well represented in all major oil producing offshore basins of the world. As of May 2021, the company’s fleet consist of 114 active vessels, which excludes the 32 stacked vessels and 20 vessels classified as held for sale. Tidewater is currently ongoing a fleet recycling program, aiming to retire older, inefficient vessels and optimise the fleet’s size.
