MobilityXlab is a collaboration hub founded in 2017 by global companies to create and develop new innovations within future mobility – with each other and with startups. Our seven partners are CEVT, Ericsson, Polestar, Veoneer, Volvo Cars, Volvo Group, and Zenseact. The uniqueness of MobilityXlab is the closeness to its world-leading industry partners, as their representatives are involved in every part of the organization, from screening new applicants to leading the collaboration programs. In addition, to be invited into the program, a startup needs to be selected by at least two of its industry partners, which reinforces knowledge sharing and increases the outcomes for PoCs and validation projects. The selection process for MobilityXlab takes place twice a year.

Over the first five years, MobilityXlab has seen startups applying from more than 50 countries. The collaboration platform has resulted in 76 proof-of-concept (PoC) and 12 accelerations, in the form of commercial contracts or partnerships. MobilityXlab is hosted by Lindholmen Science Parks and supported by Region Västra Götaland and Vinnova, Sweden’s Innovation Agency.
