Why does Diversity and Inclusion matter? Passed

Thursday June 23, 2022 11:45 - 12:45 HKT Workshop

Speaker: Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz
Moderator: Kevin O'Brien

For many years we have heard that diversity and inclusion are important in the workplace, however for many industries, we are yet to see a difference. We know that a strong, diverse and inclusive culture enhances business performance more than any other single factor, but to achieve this, it needs to be role modelled from the top. Hear from Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz on how she drove gender diversity at Mirvac through targeted initiatives, and how the Group’s focus earned them this year’s top spot in Equileap’s Top 100 performing global companies for gender equality.

Leadership lessons that you’ll learn from this session:

  • Understand why diversity and inclusion matters
  • Learn about what needs to take place behind your diversity and inclusion policy
  • Learn the importance of leadership in driving cultural change
