Cortus was founded in 2006 with the aim to realize the WoodRoll® gasification process which uses renewable resources to produce an ultraclean energy gas that has no carbon footprint. The process also yields renewable liquified and solid products. In essence, WoodRoll® converts low grade biomass to high value green molecules in the most cost efficient way on the market. The technology has been proven in lab and pilot scale and the first commercial demonstration 6 MW plant is installed and ramping up in Höganäs, Sweden. Cortus is listed in Stockholm with a market cap of SEK 800m.
