The humanitarian situation in Yemen is catastrophic and the war just continues. Including women in the negotiations between the fighting partners could contribute to an improved situation for the distressed population and improve women's political influence after the conflict. With their independent position from the partners, women have the opportunity to raise issues that do not concern only the self-interests of the conflicting partners. Women's participation would address both the lack of equality in the country and the famine.
