Nafiha Usman is a Principal Aquaculture Analyst in DNV Group Research and Development. She has six years of previous research experience in the aquaculture feed industry and an advanced education in the field of data analysis. She is a key contributor to the topics of marine fisheries and aquaculture in DNV’s forecasts for Marine Aquaculture and Ocean’s Future to 2050. She also focuses on understanding the resilience of marine seafood value chains and the relevance of digital assurance in ensuring sustainable growth of marine seafood sector.

Sigurd Solheim Pettersen Speaker

Sigurd Pettersen is a Senior Researcher in the Ocean Space Programme in DNVs Group Research and Development department. He is currently the Project Manager for the Ocean’s Future to 2050 project, which provides DNVs forecast of the Blue Economy towards 2050, taking a holistic cross-industry view on the oceans. He was a key contributor to DNVs previous Ocean’s Future to 2050 report, and the deep-dive Marine Aquaculture Forecast. He holds a PhD in marine technology from NTNU, on design and operation of offshore and special ships under future uncertainty.
