Norwegian Seafood Council
Andreas Thorud is the China Director of Norwegian Seafood Council’s (NSC). Prior to the current position, Andreas has spent many years working in China within the marine biotech industry. He previously held the position as General Manager China for the Norwegian company Aker BioMarine, and later also regional Senior Vice President for the Asian region. Andreas has a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing, as well as a master’s degree in Contemporary China from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Elisabet is Head of Data at HUB Ocean and Vice President of Tekna. She is passionate about harnessing the power of big data and technology to not only innovate but change the way we approach today’s ocean problems.
Elisabet joined the technology and sustainability foundation HUB Ocean in February 2020. HUB Ocean aims to become the world’s ocean data collaboration hub. Its goal is to change the fate of the ocean by unleashing the power of data, technology, and collaboration. Elisabet is leading the team of data scientists and data engineers that are our frontrunners in rapid prototyping by utilizing our platform capabilities.
She has more than 10 years of experience in software testing, risk assessments and cybersecurity penetration testing for industrial control systems and other critical infrastructure. In the past, she held positions at DNV as Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and Project Engineer and at Marine Cybernetics as a Project Engineer.
She holds an MSc in Technical Cybernetics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and an Executive Education (Digital Technologies) by the University of California Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC)
Esther Luiten is Global Commercial Director at the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). The ASC aims to be the world’s leading certification and labelling programme for responsibly farmed seafood. Focus of her team is on engaging retailers and seafood brands into the programme and supporting producers and supply chain companies to understand our standards and achieve certification. The Market Development Team is also strengthening relationships with key stakeholders such as NGOs, governments and researchers in key markets and production countries accross the globe.
Before joining the ASC, Esther was programme manager at the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) and responsible for their Aquaculture market transformation program. She was Deputy Director of a Dutch environmental organisation, the North Sea Foundation. Esther has over 15 years’ professional experience in the (international) seafood sector. She has a scientific background in Environmental Innovation and Communication, achieved her PhD in Innovation Studies and has been since then very much interested in facilitating the global seafood supply chain towards more sustainable practices.

Julius Palm is Head of Strategy & Brand and Deputy Managing Director at the sustainable food brand followfood. Started as a student start-up with the brand followfish, followfood is now one of the key pioneers on the question of a sustainable food supply and the role of corporate activity. Julius Palm has a background in social and sustainability sciences. First scientifically, now practically, he is dedicated to the questions: what does food have to do with the future viability of humans on this planet? Why is sustainability no longer enough? What can regenerative business models look like?
