Ellen Sofie Grefsrud, scientist at the Institute of Marine Research in Bergen, Norway. Chief editor for the annual report “Risk report Norwegian fish farming” since 2017. The report consists of two parts, one is the risk assessment on environmental impact of fin fish aquaculture and the other part gives the knowledge status and scientific references for each topic assessed. The report has been published since 2010 and from 2019 a new risk assessment methodology has been implemented.

Dr. Livar Frøyland is a Program Director at the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (IMR). Frøyland has been affiliated as professor in Medicine (nutritional physiology) at Department of Biomedicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Bergen since 2003. Frøyland has also been a member of the Panel on Nutrition, Dietetic Products, Novel Food and Allergy, the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment (VKM), since it was established in its new model in 2004 until May 31st 2018.

Monica Sanden is head of research at Institute of Marine Research leading research on seafood surveillance and environmental condition. Her portfolio covers research within the field of aquaculture nutrition and seafood safety including genetically modified organisms. She is elected member of the Norwegian scientific committee for food and environment (VKM) and currently leads a large interdisciplinary NRC project on how climate changes affects arctic seafood.

Nils Gunnar Kvamstø is CEO of the Institute of Marine Research (IMR). He came from the University of Bergen, where he has been marine dean, deputy head and head of department and professor of meteorology at the Department of Geophysics. As head of department, Kvamstø played a key role in the start-up of the Bergen Offshore Wind Center. In addition, he has played a central role at the Bjerknes Center for Climate Research.

Sissel Rogne is former Managing Director (CEO) of the Institute of Marine Research (2016-2021). Her former position was as CEO of the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board and part-time professor at the University of Bergen (UiB) and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). Rogne is a cell biologist with a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo.
