Thommessen's seafood team consists of over 20 dedicated employees across several legal disciplines, with leading expertise in the seafood industry's value chains. Together, we work to secure clients' interests and contribute to value creation in an industry that is strictly regulated and that is strongly influenced by national and international policy. Here you can get to know the team better and how we assist the seafood industry with everything from regulatory issues, licenses and permits, contracts, construction projects, disputes and patent law issues to acquisitions, restructuring, generational change, mergers, IPOs and financing.

Thommessen has assisted the fisheries since the establishment of the office in Bergen in 1928, and we were out on the first fish farms along the coast in the 60s and 70s when fish farming had its infancy. Since then, we have assisted the fishing and aquaculture industry in all areas of business law that affect the players in the industry. In addition to assisting clients in conventional fishing and aquaculture, Team Thommessen is today a leading strategic partner for the seafood industry of the future - both sea-based, land-based and green seafood.
