Presentation
Fjordkraft was established in 2001 through a merger of BKK and Skagerak Energi’s respective electricity retail operations. After delivering fairly stable streams of revenue and earnings with little growth in market share, Fjordkraft has over the last 6-7 years established itself as one of the leading Norwegian electricity retailers. By taking a commercial approach with investments in top-of-mind and loyalty programs, operational quality and sales resources and execution, it has experienced solid organic growth. Also, through its active M&A strategy, it has acted as a consolidator in a fragmented market place. Fjordkraft is present in both the consumer and business segments and has a market share of 27% - the highest in Norway.

Beyond power contracts, Fjordkraft aims to offer its customers other benefits that provide them with better value for money. In April 2017, Fjordkraft became a provider of mobile telephony. Fjordkraft offers its customers low-cost mobile telephony using Telenor’s network. The number of mobile subscribers was 122,400 at the end of Q3 2020, making it the largest MVNO in Norway.

Fjordkraft is internationally recognised for its climate initiatives. At the UN climate conference in 2018, it became the first Norwegian company ever to win the "Momentum for Change" award for its "Klimanjaro" project. The company is requiring all of its suppliers to be climate-neutral if they wish to supply goods and services to Fjordkraft. Other initiatives include "Klimahub" a portal where users can check Norwegian companies’ climate footprints, create corporate climate accounts and invite partners to help create a climate-neutral value chain.
