The main focus of the TrønderEnergi is renewable energy production and energy related business. The company has an annual production of 2.1 GWh from hydropower and wind power, in addition to being an opertor for an additional 1.2 TWh. TrønderEnergi is owned by 24 municipalities in Trøndelag county, KLP (Kommunal Landspensjonskasse mutual insurance company) and Nordmøre Energiverk AS.
