Zaptec is a leading developer and seller of chargers for electric vehicles (EVs) and related technology. Established in 2012, supplying a broad set of technological devices, the company has developed into a pure play on EV charging solutions, with its first chargers sold in 2017. Today it holds ~50% market share in multi-user systems in Norway with more than 40k chargers sold. It is already present in 10 countries across Europe, aiming to further scale up its international foothold. The company was listed on Merkur Market in October 2020.

Zaptec’s chargers have integrated phase-balancing technology and utilize Automatic Power Management (APM) software, enabling significantly higher charging speed, lower installation costs, and improved power utilization compared to conventional chargers. This has made Zaptec a preferred provider to housing cooperatives and other multi-user charging destinations. Charging solutions are offered through three segments; (i) multi-user systems for home charging, (ii) multi-user systems for destination charging, and (iii) single-user systems for home charging. The latter is particularly important going forward with a new home charger to be launched early 2021.
