99% of our world is exposed to polluted air causing an estimated 7 million premature deaths every year. Recent studies also show that even small levels of air pollution harm our health.
At the same time, there are many synergies between taking climate action and addressing air pollution. Much of the data companies use for greenhouse gas reporting can be used to measure impact on air pollution.
The Alliance for Clean Air was launched at COP26 with the objective to make it easy for companies to measure & set targets to reduce air pollution, as well as champion for change and drive innovation.
This session reflects on the progress to date of the Alliance for Clean Air and its members, while addressing the concern of companies to add more and more topics which they need to address and the importance to prioritise.
