Long duration energy storage (LDES) is a critical piece of the puzzle to enable the energy transition. Launched at COP26, the LDES Council is made up of organizations that strive to accelerate energy decarbonization at lowest cost to society by driving innovation, commercialisation and deployment of long duration energy storage. The purpose of this session is to present the latest insights into energy storage as well as discuss how can we advance he deployment of long duration energy storage technologies to reach net zero.
