Dr. Tyler Goodspeed is a Senior Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers. He was formerly a Junior Fellow in Economics at the University of Oxford, and Lecturer in Economics in the Department of Political Economy at King's College London. His primary research and teaching fields are economic history and monetary economics, with secondary interests in political economy and development. Prior to earning his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2014, he received his A.B. from Harvard, summa cum laude, in 2008, and from 2008-2009 was a Gates Scholar at the University of Cambridge.

Barry Eichengreen is George C. Pardee and Helen N. Pardee Professor of Economics and Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley and a former senior policy adviser at the International Monetary Fund. His latest book is Hall of Mirrors: The Great Depression, the Great Recession, and the Uses – and Misuses – of History. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (London, England). In 1997-98 he was Senior Policy Advisor at the International Monetary Fund. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (class of 1997).
