Hexicon is a pure-play floating offshore wind project developer and technology provider with an early-stage project portfolio. The portfolio comprises projects in 20 countries with a gross capacity of 17GW. The company offers a patented technology concept called TwinWind, representing a triangular semi-sub foundation design hosting two wind turbines. Hexicon is focusing on keeping a capital-light business model based on project divestments prior to construction and licence-based revenues for its technology. Hexicon was founded in 2009 and listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in June 2021. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

Hexicon is currently focusing on maturing development projects across multiple countries, for example Freja Offshore in Sweden (>3GW) and MunmuBaram in South Korea(1.3GW). Last year, Hexicon won UK’s first CfD auction for floating offshore wind, securing 15-year revenue support from the UK government for the 32 MW TwinHub floating offshore wind project. This can be seen as a testament to the potential of Hexicon’s patented floating foundation technology. Recently, Hexicon was granted permits by the national grid in Italy to connect 7.1GW of floating wind.
