Havfram is a pureplay offshore wind company focused on providing transport, installation and development services for the offshore wind sector. Havfram was spun out of the Oil & Gas focused company Ocean Installer which entered into offshore wind in June 2020 with the appointment of Even Larsen as director of offshore wind. The company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with a global presence and offices in Stavanger, Perth and Aberdeen.

HitecVision was the main sponsor for the company until November 2022, when Havfram announced a USD 250m equity investment from Sandbrook Capital to fund a the building of a fleet of offshore wind turbine installation vessel. Weeks later it announced another USD 250m equity investment from Canada's PSP Investments and announced that its first of up to four vessels is under construction at CIMC-Raffles in China. The vessel is of NG20000X design and will be capable of installing the largest turbines known in the market when delivered in 2025.
