Beyond Pilots: Building the Structures That Make Health Innovation Scale
Onsdag 6 maj 2026 14:00 - 15:00 Innovation Area
Innovation area, English, Live + på plats
Healthcare systems across Europe are rich in innovation – yet only a fraction of solutions ever reach large-scale implementation. The challenge is rarely the innovation itself, but the structures surrounding it: clinical validation pathways, procurement models, collaboration frameworks, and system readiness. In this session, we bring together representatives from Sahlgrenska University Hospital, DigitalHealth4All, PrecisEU, and Sahlgrenska Science Park – spanning frontline healthcare, European innovation initiatives, and ecosystem enablers – to explore how we move beyond pilots and build the structures that allow health innovation to scale. Through examples from European initiatives such as PrecisEU and DigitalHealth4All, the discussion will focus on: the role of hospitals as innovation partnerswhy validation and implementation must acceleratehow European collaboration can unlock system barriershow ecosystem actors help bridge the gap between innovators and healthcare If we want to turn innovation into real impact in healthcare, the systems enabling scale must evolve.Arranged by CO-AX Sahlgrenska Science Park
