Connected Mental Health, everything from video sessions and chat-based therapy to patient apps and AI-supported systems, is becoming a natural part of Swedish healthcare. As Sweden accelerates its digital transformation in healthcare, mental health professionals now rely on video consultations, online therapy platforms, patient-facing apps, and AI-supported systems. But while these technologies promise efficiency and better access, they also reshape clinicians' daily work in ways we rarely examine. These tools promise smoother workflows and better access. But behind the screens, clinicians' everyday work is shifting in ways we don't yet fully understand.

Our interviews reveal that connected mental health is influencing clinicians' work in ways that go far beyond simply switching from in-person to digital care. Clinicians spoke about changes to their pace, their focus, and the emotional flow of their day. Some described new kinds of pressures; others pointed to benefits they didn't expect. Across interviews, a few themes kept resurfacing, raising important questions about how digital care actually feels to those delivering it. These early patterns hint at both possibilities and pitfalls that deserve closer attention.

In this presentation, we share early insights from clinicians navigating this evolving digital landscape. If you are curious about how digital mental health is quietly reshaping the work environment of clinicians and what clinicians say they need most moving forward, join us to hear the stories behind the headlines of digitalization.
