How can public–private partnerships act as a catalyst for transforming healthcare systems? In this keynote, Jakob explores the Danish approach to public–private collaboration in healthcare and life sciences, sharing concrete cases and key learnings from Denmark’s ecosystem.

Denmark has a long history and tradition of public-private partnerships - including in life-sciences. Healthcare Denmark is a non-profit, public-private partnership promoting strongholds, expertise and innovation within Danish healthcare and life science.

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are shaping the future of healthcare and life science – in Denmark and beyond. PPPs – when built on trust, transparency, and long-term vision – can transform health systems, turning research into real-world solutions and supporting sustainable growth. From clinical trials and digital health to preventive care and sustainable procurement, the Danish approach offers insights on how partnerships can make healthcare more resilient, efficient, and equitable.
