Tidewater is the world’s largest offshore service vessel company. The Louisiana-based company pioneered the OSV industry with its order of the first ever purpose-built offshore vessel in 1956 and has remained a market leader since. Tidewater’s diverse fleet of units provides services in support of all phases of offshore exploration, field development and production in all parts of the world. The fleet includes PSVs, AHTS’, subsea vessels, speciality vessels, tugs and crew boats. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

In 2018, Tidewater joined forces with Gulfmark, adding 66 vessels to the fleet and thereby creating the largest OSV fleet globally. Tidewater has a global presence and is well represented in all major oil producing offshore basins of the world and currently operates a fleet of 192 vessels comprising 113 PSVs, 59 AHTS’s and 20 other vessels. Out of the 192 vessels, 121 vessels are in operation while the remaining are either cold stacked or held for sale. The active vessels recorded a utilisation of >80% in 2019.
