Oceaneering International is a global provider of engineering services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. While the company’s core business is services to the oil and gas industry, Oceaneering is also present in the renewables energy industry, with a focus on offshore wind, tidal, wave and interconnector projects in key regions US, UK and Brazil. The company was founded in 1969 as a result of the combination of three diving services companies founded in the early 1960s. Oceaneering is headquartered in Houston, Texas and listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The company has five operating segments; Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), Subsea Products, Subsea Services, Asset Integrity and Advanced Technologies. The four former segments serve the energy industry and contribute materially to total revenues, while the latter serves alternative industries, primarily the defense, aerospace and commercial theme park industries. Oceaneering is active in all phases of the offshore oilfield lifecycle from exploration to decommissioning providing a range of products and services. Within renewables, the company primarily provides seabed preparation, route clearance and trenching services as well as inspection services and integrity management.
