Tethys Oil is a Swedish onshore E&P company with license interests in Oman, Lithuania and France. The company was formed in 2001. The company’s core area is Oman, where it entered in 2007 and has been drilling since 2009. In addition, Tethys Oil holds licenses in France and Lithuania. In July 2020, the company had net production of ~10.3k boepd, while net 2P reserves were 26.1 mill bbl by the end of 2019. The company was formed in 2001 and is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm. The company has its headquarters in Stockholm Sweden and an office in Muscat, Oman.

Since the early 2010s, the Tethys Oil story has become almost synonymous with its prolific asset in Oman; Blocks 3&4, operated by CC Energy Development. As a result of successful exploration, appraisal and production drilling, production from the blocks has since 2016 been in the range ~11.8k-12.8k boepd net to Tethys’ 30% working interest. The company also holds exploration interests on Blocks 49, 56 and 58 in Oman, with Tethys Oil being the operator of the former and latter. On Block 49, nine wells have been drilled with several encounter oil shows. The company is preparing for exploration drilling before year end. On Block 56 there is planning of a seismic campaign, while on Block 58 the company has identified several leads.
