Hvordan transformere en sjøbod fra tidlig 1800-tall – og samtidig bevare historien?
Kan et bygg som har stått ved sjøen i over 200 år fortsatt møte dagens behov?
Gjennom generasjoner har sjøbodene langs kysten vært i kontinuerlig endring. De har blitt tilpasset nye næringer, nye brukere og nye tider – samtidig som de har beholdt sin identitet og kulturhistoriske verdi.
På dette arrangementet tar vi deg med inn i prosessen bak transformasjonen av en sjøbod fra tidlig 1800-tall. Vi ser på hvordan godt samarbeid mellom byggherre, Byantikvaren, fylkeskonservatoren, arkitekter og byggesaksmyndighetene kan skape løsninger som både ivaretar kulturarven og åpner for fremtidig bruk.

Dette handler ikke bare om å bevare et bygg – det handler om å forstå hvordan generasjoner før oss har tilpasset bygningen til sin tid, og hvordan vi kan gjøre det samme på en respektfull og bærekraftig måte.
Når vern, utvikling og samarbeid møtes, kan historiske bygg få et nytt kapittel – uten å miste sin historie.
