Fra sjøbunn til sjøbod – bygging under havnivå og bevaring av kulturarv på Nøstet Gjennomført

Vi har gleden av å invitere til byggeplassbesøk på Nøstet Sjøfront.
Prosjektet er under bygging, og arrangementet gir en mulighet til å oppleve et av Bergens mest spennende byutviklingsprosjekter mens arbeidene pågår. Deltakerne vil få innblikk i både de tekniske, logistiske og kulturhistoriske utfordringene som preger gjennomføringen av prosjektet.
Hovedfokus for besøket vil være restaureringen av den historiske Bjørgeboden, som står foran en av de mest omfattende transformasjonene i byggets historie. Som en del av arbeidene skal bygget restaureres, løftes nærmere to meter og etableres på ny fundamentering. Operasjonen krever avansert prosjektering og utførelse, og er avgjørende for å sikre byggets fremtidige bruk samtidig som de kulturhistoriske verdiene ivaretas.
Bjørgeboden lå opprinnelig helt i sjøkanten. Gjennom årene er området fylt ut, og bygningen ligger i dag godt inne på land. Som en del av Nøstet Sjøfront-prosjektet skal deler av utfyllingen fjernes, slik at sjøen føres tilbake til bygget og Bjørgeboden igjen får sin historiske plassering mot vannet.
Nøstet Sjøfront omfatter også åtte nye boligbygg, nye byrom og en undersjøisk parkeringsgarasje. Gjennom byggeplassbesøket får deltakerne innblikk i et komplekst og spennende transformasjonsprosjekt som forener moderne byutvikling med restaurering av viktig kulturarv.
