Eduardo has over 15 years of experience in working with mining customers with specific focus in power and process automation. His experience spans from power and process control, plant asset management and operational management system. In the last 5 years, Eduardo has been heavily involved in digital transformation of mine operations through fleet manager, short interval control, automated scheduling and manufacturing operations management from mine extraction to minerals processing.
Eduardo holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree, an post-graduation degree in business strategic management and is based in Switzerland.

Dr. Mats W Lundberg is Head of Sustainability at Sandvik Group. He has a PhD in Materials Chemistry and a broad knowledge in hydrogen, electrolysis and fuel cells from research positions at Sandvik Materials Technology and abroad. Dr Lundberg was the initiator of Sweden’s fourth hydrogen filling station in Sandviken and is a frequent speaker on the hydrogen society. Mats obviously has solar panels on his house, a battery car and an electric bicycle. He is a passionate believer in sustainability as a business advantage.

Mr. Mikko Valtee has worked in Sandvik since 2006 in different research and technology development roles, currently holding position of Electrification Technologies and Machinery Systems Manager. In current role one of the main technical focus area is electrification of mobile machinery and processes around them. Electrification of mining requires solutions from components to mine electrical grid level systems. Future of mining is definitely electrified, and combined with automation, machinery will become more productive than ever.

Dr. Petra Sundström has a PhD in Human Machine Interaction and extensive experience of digitalization and IoT initiatives from leading roles in both industry and academia. As VP & Head of Digital Offering at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions, Petra is responsible for leading the development and execution of the digital agenda, driving the cultural and organizational shift required.

Mr. Andreas Simoncic has 18 years of experience of working in the IT and Industrial Automation industries, with mission critical computer center systems and High-End Industrial automation/robotics solutions for companies like Data General, EMC, Siemens and Dell. He has been an entrepreneur in the mining industry for a decade and has in this role co-funded several junior exploration companies, incl. a mine re-opening project (large Iron Ore mine in central Sweden) working with feasibility studies, NI-43-101 reporting, environmental assessments and mining concession application process. Today Mr. Simoncic holds the position as Business Line Manager for Automation and Digitalization at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, supporting mining customers in Europe with Automation and Digitalization solutions to help them get more, safer and cost efficient tons out of their production units.
