Carl has the responsibility to develop and support the business of polymer truck bed linings and the Metso Truck Body.

As Technical Sales Director for the Metso Hauling and Loading portfolio, Samuelson’s objective is to enable Metso Outotec customers to take advantage of the benefits and savings that can be achieved with innovative solutions and deep industry knowledge.
Samuelson has a well-established background in technology management and sales. Prior to Metso Outotec, he managed key accounts such as Epiroc, Sandvik, Volvo Construction equipment, Scania, and Trelleborg AB. His experience in this business involved roles as sales and product organizations, developing, and delivering customer driven technical solutions for a wide variety of customers, as well as responsibilities in business development, operational and management positions.

Erik Lindblom, consultant and researcher at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, is the project manager for TraceMet. He is mainly focusing on natural resources management and environmental impact assessments (EIA), has led several EIAs, e.g. for quarry operations, and has participated in many research projects on methodological and procedural aspects of EIA. Erik is a facilitator of the Swedish Mining Dialogue between the industry and national agencies.

Håkan Tarras-Wahlberg is the chairman of Georange, and the MD of Swedish Geological AB. Dr. Tarras-Wahlberg has for over two decades worked with a wide range of issues – social, environmental and economic – that relates to the mining sector. He has a wide international experience as a consultant and expert, working in assignments funded by multi- and bi-lateral organization in numerous countries. He is also a researcher and contributes regularly to research that relates to sustainability issues and management in the natural resource sector.

Michael Lowther was manager of LKAB’s Konsuln test-mine during its development phase Q4 2018 to Q1 2021, and is a member of the Operational Steering Group for the SUM project in LKAB. He gained his BSc in Geology from Queen’s University Belfast, and MSc in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology from the University of Leicester. His expertise is mine geology, mine management, and mine rescue. He is a registered Professional Geologist (Institute of Geologists of Ireland) and a registered European Geologist, a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (UK), and a Chartered Engineer (UK Engineering Council).
He has worked in two European-funded research projects, the most recent being Real-Time Mining (in Horizon 2020). He is a Council member of the Irish Mining and Quarrying Society, and Chairman of the Irish Mine Rescue Committee.
Prior to joining LKAB in 2018 Michael was manager of mining at Boliden’s Tara Mine in Ireland.

Maria Sunér is the CEO of Svemin, the Swedish Association for Mines, Mineral and Metal Producers. Ms Sunér has a profound background from the business sector, and has held several positions at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, as well as for the Swedish Association of Energy producers. She has also worked for the Worldbank and Eon. Ms Sunér is a honorary member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Engineering, and a vice chair of the Energy and Environment Committee for Business at the OECD.
