Alpha HPA is an ASX listed company with a market capitalization of approximately AUD 263m. Alpha HPA is working to commercialize its proprietary solvent extractant and refine the process for the manufacturing of high purity alumina (HPA) and its related products.

Alpha HPA utilizes readily available industrial chemicals, rather than mine generated feedstock, to develop aluminum oxide (Al2O3) which is the pre-cursor material for both sapphire glass (LED’s) and ceramic coated Lithium-Ion Battery (LIB) separators. The company has completed a DFS with recent approval from the State Government to construct a HPA processing plant in Queensland, Australia.

Alpha HPA’s 2020 DFS evaluated a production rate of 10,000tpa of HPA. The capital expenditure for the HPA project is forecast to be AUD 308m and is forecast to produce annual free cashflow of AUD 280m.
