Nickel Mines is an ASX publicly listed public company emerging as a globally significant, low-cost producer of nickel pig iron, a key ingredient in the production of stainless steel. Nickel Mines has a market capitalisation of approximately AUD 3.2bn, underpinned by strong assets and contractual agreements with globally recognised partners.Nickel Mines flagship asset is the Hengjaya Mine (HM), in conjunction with its 80% interest stake the Hengjaya Project, a 2-line Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace (RKEF) plant being constructed within the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP). The abundance of global infrastructure spending to revive global economies, Nickel Mines is well positioned to generate strong cashflows.
Nickel Mines also has an 80% stake in the Ranger Nickel Project, partnered with Shanghai Decent, to acquire two additional RKEF lines currently under construction within the IMIP. The kiln’s produced over 149,000t of pig iron in 2020, with the overall production to increase upon additional kiln completion.
Accompanying Nickel Mines quality mine and processing plants, Tsingshan the world’s largest stainless-steel producer has committed to establishing the world’s largest, fully integrated stainless steel production facility within the IMIP. Nickel Mines can leverage this relationship by supplying the nickel pig iron across its established transportation system to the IMIP.
