Denison Mines Corp (“Denison”) is a uranium exploration and development company with uranium interests focused in the Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Denison has a market capitalisation of approximately USD 447m and is listed on both the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchanges.The Company owns 90% of the Wheeler River project, which ranks as the largest undeveloped high-grade uranium project in the infrastructure rich east portion of the Athabasca Basin region. Further, Denison Mines Corp holds a 22.5% ownership interest in the McClean Lake JV, which includes several uranium deposits and the McClean Lake uranium mill as well as additional interests such as the Midwest and Huskie deposits that are located within 20km of the McClean Lake mill.
The Wheeler River project includes two high-grade uranium deposits; Phoenix and Gryphon. Phoenix is the highest-grade undeveloped deposit known, including a high-grade core estimated to contain 59.9Mlbs grading 19.1% U3O8, whilst Gryphon has 49.7M lbs grading 1.8% U3O8 . The project’s PFS delineated probable reserves of 109.4Mlbs U3O8 over a 14-year mine life, requiring an initial capital costs of USD 322.5m, producing a pre-tax NPV8% of 1.3bn USD and a IRR of 38.7%.
