Midsona is a Swedish company that develops and markets strong brands within health and well-being, with products that help people live a healthier and more sustainable life, having increased understanding of the origin of the raw material and with transparency as to the content. The company has over 800 employees and is active in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany, France and Spain. Midsona has a portfolio of proprietary brands and international client’s brands. The eight primary brands are URTEKRAM, KUNG MARKATTA, DAVERT, FRIGGS, HELIOS, DALBLADS, NATURDIET and ESKIMO-3. The products are sold in several sales channels, including FMCG, pharmacies, health stores, gyms and online. Midsona has been listed on the OMX Nasdaq Stockholm exchange since 1999.

Recent highlights
The company showed strong performance during Q2, but with challenges in organic growth as a result of the previous year’s hoarding effects and increased household consumption. Net sales amounted to SEK 903 million (859), corresponding to an increase of 5.1% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA amounted to SEK 78m (97), corresponding to a margin of 8.6% (11.3%). In August 2021, the company announced that it entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in the Finnish company Vitality and Oy, a leading provider in consumer health.

Outlook
Midsona will be active in the consolidation of the European market for health and well-being. The company is actively looking for acquisitions in Europe, according to its CEO, who sees a positive development ahead and is confidently looking forward to the remainder of 2021.
