Refugees, Borders and Immigration Summit

The LGBTQIA+ Refugees, Borders and Immigration summit will examine the intersectional needs and vulnerabilities of LGBTQIA+ Refugees and Forcibly displaced people. Topics such as displacement drivers, pathways, arrival at the destination country, the asylum seeking process and resettlement will be opened up for discussion in each of the three different knowledge tracks that run simultaneously throughout the day. The summit has placed a large emphasis on holding people with lived experience in this field at the center of the day and you will also hear from international actors in this field as well as experts and activists who work in this line of work. There will also be networking opportunities.

This event welcomes participants who are under 18 years of age, with the caveat that sensitive topics will be discussed.
