Welcome to the summit on Refugees, Borders and Immigration. 

We invite you to listen and participate as specialists, activists and politicians discuss the challenges and acute needs and vulnerabilities surrounding the topic of Refugees, Borders and Immigration as they relate to the LGBTQIA+ community both globally and locally. Importantly, the summit has a focus on community involvement with much of the discussion and storytelling coming from those with lived experience.

Our objectives of the day are: 

1. Facilitating a space for in-depth experiential learning through storytelling about these often-sidelined topics. 

2. Creating a deeper awareness amongst a larger public combined with calls to actions aimed at politicians and government officials regarding intersectional minorities. 

3. Generating an opportunity for politicians and government officials to learn from people with lived experiences moving them to change policy.
