Hexicon provides the floating offshore wind industry with technical components enabling a triangular semisub foundation hosting two wind turbines – where the idea is to offer more output per unit of steel/cables/etc.
The company announced a milestone deal with Shell in 2019 for the development of the Donghae project in South Korea – the world’s largest planned FOW farm (expected total capacity of 1,400 MW, gross CAPEX budget of USD ~7bn).
Commercialisation is made possible through collaboration with industrial partners through JV structure (CoensHexicon) – where Coens provides local and offshore services experience and Hexicon provides the technology.
Hexicon is privately held.
