Roy is currently serving as a Chief Engineer at MAN Truck & Bus SE in Nuremberg, Germany, Roy leads product development for big bore internal combustion engines being responsible from concept until serial production, including diesel and hydrogen variants. His pioneering work in hydrogen internal combustion engines has positioned him at the forefront of sustainable automotive technology, driving innovation and delivering cost-effective solutions. 

MSB föreslog i förremiss för ändring av MSBFS 2020:1 att ett sätt att verifiera kunskapsnivån för vätgasinstallatörer är att de är certifierade. Det Vinnova-finansierade projekt H2 SafeCert har tittat på vad marknaden tycker om detta och undersökt risker kopplat till bristande kunskapsnivå, vilka utbildningar som finns samt tagit fram upplägg för en personcertifiering. Delar av resultaten redovisas på konferensen och det finns också möjlighet att komma med inspel.

Vätgas kan användas säkert – det har den kemiska processindustrin visat under snart 100 år. En nyckelkomponent i ett säkerhetssystem för vätgas är att kunna detektera eventuella läckage på ett snabbt och tillförlitligt sätt med hjälp av sensorer. I takt med att vätgas hittar sin plats ut i samhället ställs dock nya tekniska och ekonomiska utmaningar för att bibehålla en säker användning, vilket i sin tur ställer helt nya utmaningar på de tillgängliga teknikerna. Insplorion utvecklar en ny sensorteknik baserad på mer än 15 års grundforskning från Chalmers, som möter dessa nya behov.

In this presentation, Julia will share some insights on how policies like the Fuel EU Maritime regulation, as well as other related EU policies, might influence the possibilities for different alternative marine fuels, including hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels and propulsion concepts. The Fuel EU Maritime regulation includes, for example, a requirement to reduce the yearly average greenhouse gas intensity of energy used onboard ships gradually from 2025 to 2050. 

Ida will begin with a quick introduction to GreenH, highlighting its commitment to advancing local hydrogen production as a key solution for sustainable energy. She will then introduce the Next Wave project, emphasizing its importance in the broader context of zero-emission initiatives. From there, Ida will delve into the main barriers identified for establishing zero-emission tradelines, particularly focusing on challenges in sea transport. Drawing from her experiences with the Bodø project, she will illustrate these obstacles with real-world examples, offering a grounded perspective on the difficulties faced. Finally, Ida will touch on some potential mitigation measures, exploring practical steps that could help overcome these challenges and pave the way for cleaner and more efficient transport solutions.

Kan vi använda de regelverk och standarder som är framtagna för naturgas och bygga på samma sätt nu när vi ska transportera vätgas istället? I denna presentation jämförs säkerheten för vätgas- och naturgasledningar. Dessutom presenteras nuläge och framtidsplaner gällande regelverk för vätgasledningar (VGSA).

Mirela Atanasiu will share insights on the state of the art in fuel cells and electrolysers, and what is happening in Europe and the rest of the world in the hydrogen area. The speech will cover the parameters of technology readiness, performance and cost.
