Listen and gain a more in-depth awareness as experts, including those with lived experience, discuss different aspects under the broad topic of pathways to safety. You will also gain a deeper understanding of the state of LGBTQIA+ refugees in the global south and different drivers of people with self lived experience towards the pathways of safety.

Learn from experts and people with lived experience on different aspects under the broad theme of pathways to safety. This will have a focus on things that these people consider important and that professionals in the many fields concerned here might be lacking insight regarding.

Welcome to this Roundtable discussion among political actors and experts in the field, including those with lived experience. Here the discussion will focus on What options need to be available to LGBTQI+ refugees within the overall breakout theme of “pathways to safety”

(Language of the event Swedish) The incidence of violence in same-sex and queer relationships is high.  

(Language of the event English) The LGBTQI+ family is an important part of the staff, artists, audience, and partners of all great opera houses around the world. To celebrate Pride is a natural part of who we are. But what do we aim to achieve by committing? How do we work with inclusion and diversity? Malmö Opera and The Royal Danish Opera of Copenhagen meet on stage and are joined online by The Met in New York, that participated in the World Pride of 2019 and Sydney Opera House in Sydney where events will take place in 2023. The host is the Swedish opera singer Rickard Söderberg.

(Language of the event English) In this event I will present my current, past and future research about the use of digital technology in Uganda among an extremely vulnerable group, namely the LGBQI+ community

(Language of the event English)Follow along on a journey where Camilla Gisslow tells of her own experiences being a parent of a transgender child: a lecture of hope, hopelessness and the courage to be one’s self.  

(Language of the event English)The Swedish authorities carry out systematic credibility assessments in an incorrect manner in order to reject and expel asylum-seeking queer persons. This seminar will take a closer look at this and discuss how we can develop legally secure investigations of LGBTQIA + asylum cases.

(Language of the event English) In this event, participants will be introduced to a general LGBTQIA+ refugee forced displacement scenario and are then invited to creatively play out different roles in this scenario in short, sequenced "steps", which will be collectively debriefed at various points throughout the process. This event welcomes participants who are under 18 years of age, with the caveat that sensitive topics will be discussed.
