Pryme is a chemical recycler of plastic waste, specialising in scaling the pyrolysis process. The company was founded in 2008 and has further developed and optimized the pyrolysis process through many years of research. The company is headquartered in Netherlands and was listed on Euronext Growth Oslo in February 2021.

The final product of the pyrolysis process, pyrolysis oil, is expected to be sold as recycled material. Pryme’s initial plant in Rotterdam is expected to commence production in 2023 with 40,000 tonnes per year of capacity. Pryme has an offtake contract with Shell for a substantial part of the production output from its first facility. The company plans for a rapid roll-out of additional plants in Europe, upon successful commercial commencement of its first plant.
