Aker Carbon Capture Presenting Company

Presentation
Aker Carbon Capture is a pure-play carbon capture company delivering carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technology and services. The company serves a range of industries, with main focus on cement, waste-to-energy, gas to power and blue hydrogen. Aker Carbon Capture is a spin-off from Aker Solutions and takes advantage from a long track-record within carbon capture since 1990s. Aker Solutions will also be an alliance partner and a preferred supplier to the company. Aker Carbon Capture was listed on Euronext Growth Oslo in August 2020 and transferred to the main list in June 2021. Aker Horizons holds a majority stake (43.27%), and the company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

The proprietary carbon capture process uses a mixture of water and organic amine solvent to absorb the CO2. The company offers ccs from small to large scale as well as carbon capture as a service (CCaaS). The latter serves as an important step towards a full CCS value chain offering. Aker Carbon Capture aims to simplify the CCS process and reduce the total cost. The company delivers ready-to-use carbon capture plants and handles the carbon from emission point to permanent storage.

Current project portfolio consists of the Norcem Brevik CCS, Twence Waste to Energy as well as the ongoing FEED study for the Net Zero Teesside project. In June 2022, ACC was awarded FEED contract for the Keadby 3 Carbon Capture Power Station which will capture up to 2 tpa, >4x the size of Norcem. Further, in January this year it signed an LOI for two of its modular Just Catch units with an undisclosed client.
