Aker Horizons (“AKH”), founded in 2020, is Aker’s investment vehicle within renewable energy and green tech. The company's key investments include Aker Carbon Capture, Mainstream Renewable Power and Supernode. The company also established Aker Horizons Asset Development in 2022, intending to originate and develop hydrogen-based assets. Aker currently has a majority shareholder position of 67.3% in Aker Horizons, which is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

At present, the group of companies have 900MW in production, 600MW under construction and 21 GW in development. The company has a strong balance sheet with liquidity of almost NOK 10bn.
