Founded in 1947, Kommunal Landspensjonskasse gjensidig forsikringsselskap (KLP) is a Norwegian mutual insurance company that offers pensions, banking, asset management and insurance services to public sector customers and their employees.

KLP has total assets under management of NOK 871bn and is Norway’s largest pension company with over 900,000 customers.

KLP is owned by municipalities, county authorities, health enterprises and companies affiliated to the public sector

The company has a strong track record of renewable energy investments, including TrønderEnergi, Tensio, Tussa, Istad, Ringeriks Kraft, Stena Renewables, NEAS, Oslofjord Varme and Odal wind farm.
