HPS Home Power Solutions is a 2014 founded company based in Berlin, Germany, offering residential hydrogen storage solutions.

It develops and produces integrated systems for storing and using solar energy in one- and two-family houses. The surplus energy generated by a photovoltaic system on sunny days is stored as green hydrogen and used in the dark season to supply electricity and heat. Thus, buildings can be provided with solar energy from their own roofs all year round. HPS ensures security, independence and sustainability as part of a decentralised power supply. HPS’s first system, picea, provides electricity storage, heating support and ventilation for living spaces in one compact product. Based on its own high-performance energy management, picea completely meets the electrical energy needs of a single-family home.

In January 2023, the company completed a capital increase of EUR 22m. The funds, together with EUR 30m in loans, will be used to accelerate the technological development of picea, expand national and international sales activities and strengthen working capital.

The company plans to continue its strong growth course and to continue to expand at a triple-digit growth rate.
