Eneti is the new name of Scorpio Bulkers after it announced the intention to sell its drybulk vessels and enter the offshore wind market in August 2020 through an LOI to construct a newbuild wind turbine installation jackup. The company has since divested all of its drybulk vessels and in May signed the firm contract with DSME for the construction of one unit for USD ~330m which will be delivered in 2024. The company also holds an option for an additional vessel. Separately, it is currently in advanced discussion with American shipbuilders for the construction of a Jones Act-compliant wind turbine installation jackup. The company is headquartered in Monaco and will retain its listing on the NYSE.

In July 2021, the company announced the acquisition of privately held WTIV operator Seajacks from its Japan-based owners. The acquisition adds five wind turbine installation jackups to Eneti’s fleet, and an organization with an established market position.
