Presentation
Klaveness has been engaged in the development of combination carriers since the 1950s and has pioneered the development of vessels that are equipped to carry both wet and dry cargo. Today’s company was established in 2018 as Klaveness consolidated its ship owning and chartering subsidiaries. The Klaveness family is the largest shareholder, with a 53.8% ownership.

Klaveness’ fleet consist of nine CABU combination carriers (MR tanker/panamax bulk carrier) and eight CLEANBU vessels (LR1 product tanker/kamsarmax bulk carrier). The last CLEANBU, ‘MV Balzani’, was delivered during Q2’21 and marked the end of Klaveness’ CLEANBU newbuild program. As such, capex will decline, paving the way for increased dividend payments going forward.

Klaveness has a clear environmental strategy, as it intends to become carbon neutral by 2030 and a zero emitter by 2050. Both targets significantly exceed the IMO ambitions.
