Quantafuel is a company producing synthetic fuels and chemical products based on non-recyclable plastic waste. The company was founded in 2014 by entrepreneurs with several decades of experience from the energy sector and has developed an effective and environmentally friendly recycle method. Quantafuel was listed on Euronext Growth Oslo in February 2020.

Quantafuel’s business model is to build, own and operate plastic-to-liquid plants. These plants will primarily be operated in joint venture structures, where Quantafuel will own up to 50%. The company started operation of Europe’s first plastic-to-liquid plant in Skive, Denmark in September 2020 with the capacity to convert 18,000 tons of plastic waste per year. The plant in Skive is operated in cooperation with Vitol. The company is expanding its activities in Denmark and has purchased a location in Esberg, where it will perform engineering for a plant with the capacity of 80,000 tons plastic waste per year.
