Below are the program for the longer seminars as well as the mini-seminars during the Swedish Forum for Human Rights 2016. Click on the title of the seminar for a short description, under More information you can get a longer description and a presentation of the participants.
To attend the longer seminars during the Forum you need a ticket. When you have registered and log in you can favour the seminars that you find extra interesting, add them to your calendar and network with other participants.

Professor Cynthia Enloe, American professor of Political Science at Clark University, has done research about militarism from a feminist perspective for about 50 years. Spridningen av pornografi har exploderat de senaste tjugo åren samtidigt som pornografin innehåller allt mer våld. Runt om i världen växer en rörelse för att begränsa spridningen av pornografi och stoppa porrkulturen.
Numera vet vi också att det finns en stark koppling mellan pornografi och prostitution som det sällan talas om. Enligt olika studier är män som tittar på porr statistiskt mer benägna att köpa sex. Det finns också en annan koppling mellan pornografi och prostitution och det är att den som börjar arbeta inom porrindustrin förr eller senare hamnar i prostitution.

The UN declaration of human rights states that “everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment”. But for one group, the so called precariat, this is hard to fulfill. The precariat consists of millions of people being forced to accept a life of unstable labour and unstable living. In this lecture the British professor Guy Standing from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and with long experience from working for the International Labour Organization will advance our understanding of the precariat. He will discuss the political and economic tensions being created around the group and how they are losing all forms of rights – civil, cultural, social, political and economic.
